Privacy Policy
Your privacy is important, and Management Books 2000 respects this. This statement sets out our policy for dealing with personal information, and explains the way in which this information is gathered and used.
Information we collect
When you register on our website, or purchase any of our products, you will be asked to provide the necessary information to complete the order, including your name, address, telephone number and email address and, when necessary, credit card information. In addition we may ask you for some further personal information to help us to determine which products or services may be of particular interest, and to improve our services so they meet the needs of our existing customers. All information requested in this way will be voluntary – you may decline to provide the additional information – and any personal information so provided will be treated in the strictest confidence, and not disclosed to any third party without your specific approval.
In addition we may collect anonymous information from visits to the MB2000 website to help us provide better customer service and a better customer experience. For example, we keep track of the domains from which people visit, and we measure aggregate user activity on the MB2000 website, but we do so in ways that keep user's personal identity and information anonymous. MB2000 or the analytic vendors it selects may use this data to analyze site usage trends and statistics, to help us improve our site.
Newsletters and promotional emails
All registering users of our website are added to our e-newsletter distribution list, but may easily unsubscribe from this. Instructions for how to unsubscribe from the newsletters are included with each edition. From time to time we may also email you with details of particular products or services which we believe may be of interest to you. If you do not wish to receive these, please email us to request removal from the mailing list.
Information security and quality
We are committed to protecting the integrity of your personal information. To do this, we have implemented appropriate technical and organizational measures, such as using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) encryption for transmission of credit card numbers and passwords, to help us keep your information secure, accurate, current, and complete. We will make a sincere effort to respond in a timely manner to your requests to correct inaccuracies in your personal information, to remove personal information you do not want stored, or to answer any questions you may have about our use of your information.
Cookies
A cookie is a small data file that is stored by your Web browser on your computer, and enables us to recognise you when you return to our site. If you wish, you can delete or disable this cookie (your browser's help section should be able to tell you how you can disable or filter cookies and how to arrange for your browser to tell you when you've been sent a new cookie). The features of the MB2000 website were designed to work without cookies, so if you turn them off, you may still browse, search, and shop at our site. Performance may be slower, however, and the "Remember Me" feature (for registered site users) will not function.
Links to other sites
The MB2000 website contains a number of links to other websites which we believe may be of interest to our customers. These site all have their own privacy policies, which may be different from the policy outlined in this statement.
